Training:
HAZMAT & Chemical suicide in Collins at the Fire Station - Roger Wood
reported that he will try to set it up for May 12 or 19. He has enoughpeople to get the training.
Conferences:
Missouri Emergency Management Conference April 3-6 in Branson. Jeanne Beas,John Christiansen, John Gover and Steve Pierce attended.National
Weather Service, Map Your Neighborhood and GIS were some of the
breakout sessions attended. Jeanne explained the Map Your
Neighborhood.
HAZMAT Symposium May 15-18 - John Christiansen was voted on to attend
with a motion by Robert Albertson, second by Roger Wood with all in
favor.
2nd Annual Springfield Environmental Summit was not attended by anyone.
Exercises:
June 20 Region D Exercise - Communications exercise will take place and those
wishing to be part need to let John Christiansen know.
Meetings
SMESO - no report.
HAM Radio net – no report
Bio-Terrorism - Jeanne Beas
MHA - Northern Tier - May 2 at Barton County Hospital in Lamar at 10:00 am.
Several attended the MHA Conference and we have more work for the
Coalition.
Region D Regional Homeland Security Oversite Committee had a meeting on
April 18, the June 20 exercise is being prepared and next meeting will be
July 18.
Planners meeting April 19 in Jefferson City was attended by Jeanne.
Radio grant may apply for more.
Repeater bids no further information.
Website - John Gover reported that changes are being made to the new website making it
easier to update the site, not a HTML. Links are being added.
USNG - John Gover reported maps for St. Clair and Henry Counties are being updated.
New Business:
EMD Certification through MEPA has changed requirements. John Christiansen is certified through this association and Jeanne is awaiting request for certification.
Flood Insurance information was passed around.
Odorization of Gas information was passed around.
Badge Clips are needed. Robert Albertson motioned to order the clips with a second from
Roger Wood with all in favor.
